Nothing leaves your Mac
Local by design
Recordings, transcripts and session data are stored locally on your Mac. Strandweave does not send audio to a remote server. Transcription runs offline using the local Whisper runtime — what you capture stays under your control.

Import audio
Already have a recording? Import M4A, WAV, MP3, AAC, AIF, AIFF, CAF, MOV or MP4 files and run local transcription on them. The imported session appears alongside your recorded sessions.
Local Whisper, no cloud required
Offline transcription
Transcription runs after recording using the local Whisper runtime. Transcripts are timestamped and support manual speaker labels per segment. No audio is sent to a cloud transcription service.
Projects, tags and review status
Session organisation
Organise sessions with projects, areas, tags and sensitivity levels. Track each session's review status — Unreviewed, Needs Correction, Reviewed or Finalised. Filter and sort your session list by any of these fields.

Export ready
Export in Markdown, TXT, JSON, RTF, DOCX, AI Processing Input or Second Brain Note format. Exports are saved locally — you choose where to send them.

Strandweave is a native Mac application built for macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It respects system permissions, works with your existing Mac workflow, and stays out of the way until you need it.
