How meeting audio capture works

Strandweave records the audio input you choose. For in-person or speakerphone calls, select your Mac's built-in microphone or another microphone and capture the sound in the room.

For a clean, direct recording of a call playing on your Mac, route system audio through BlackHole or another virtual audio device. This is optional, but avoids relying on sound played through speakers.

Zoom and Webex detection can offer a prompt to start recording. Strandweave never joins the call and never starts recording without your action.

See the system-audio setup guide →
